Alina Thokkadam, Class of 2019, Awarded 2018 Dittman/Lebo Scholarship
Congratulations Alina! This scholarship was originally established as the Dittman Scholarship by Professor Frank Dittman, one of the Department’s founders, who taught in the department until his retirement in 1987. Professor Dittman began a scholarship for well-rounded chemical and biochemical engineers, taking into account not only excellent academic performance but also extracurricular activities, research experience, volunteer work and financial need. Unfortunately funds became unavailable in 2009.
Mr. Timothy Lebo, Class of 2009, was the last recipient of the Dittman Scholarship in 2008. Since 2010, Mr. Lebo has funded this scholarship, which has been appropriately renamed the Dittman/Lebo Scholarship. Mr. Lebo began his career at Dow and Schlumberger and is currently Inside Sales Engineer at Leistitz Advanced Technologies Corp. in Allendale, NJ.
